Nu pot prinde caii sălbatici ai deltei
mi-a plecat puterea din frâie,
mi-a fost pusă-n ceaţă vederea,
vă spun toate acestea vouă,
când surâsul femeii este clar
şi-l puteţi recunoaşte.

Înşelătoare sunt clipele care fug
şi se întorc de unde au plecat
nemaigăsindu-mă acelaşi om,
doar fructul retras în seminţele sale.
Ştiu, o să admir florile de mai
şi ce tinere şi frumoase sunt femeile
din caseta veche cu amintiri!

Îmi pare că iubirea izbeşte-n inimă
castelele-s ruinate-n nisip
şi tu rece-mi spui să privesc,
un vânt îngheţat dinspre miazănoapte
laşi nemăsurate gândurile.

cred, pe colinele smălţuite cu lut
voi mai cinsti-n primăveri,
livada cu meri.
